Get ready for an exciting season of footy tipping with the Capital Tigers! Our annual tipping competition offers multiple ways to win and plenty of excitement throughout the season. The competition is now open for the 2025 season!
To join:1. Access the tipping competition using:- Competition Number: 130277- Password: CBRTigers2025- Look for 'Capital Tigers 2025' in the app2. Entry fee is $50, payable by cash or bank transfer3. Payment is expected by Round 54. Previous members may be able to simply press 'rejoin' in their appPrize Pool
We have multiple opportunities to win throughout the season:
- Weekly Prize: $10 for most correct picks each round- Knockout Competition: $50 prize- First Place: Special prize to be determined (2024 winner received a signed football)- Total Prize Pool: $250All prizes will be distributed at the end-of-season AGM.Weekly Competition Rules
Basic Tipping Rules:
- Tips can be submitted up until 5 minutes before each game- Missed tips result in zero points for that game- If you miss an entire round, you'll receive the lowest round score from all participants- Away or unable to tip? Message the admin who can place tips on your behalfMargin Tipping:- Enter your margin prediction for your chosen team in the first game of each round- Your margin score is calculated as the difference between your prediction and the actual result- Example: If you tip Tigers by 4 points and they win by 6, your margin score is 2 (6 - 4 = 2)- If your chosen team loses, your score is the total difference (e.g., if you tip Tigers by 4 and they lose by 6, your score is 10)- Margin scores are used as a tiebreaker for the overall season winners but don't affect weekly prizesWeekly Prizes and Bonus Points
Weekly Prizes:
- $10 awarded for the most correct tips each round- If there's a tie, the prize money carries over to the next round- Final round ties result in the jackpot being split evenly- Joker rounds don't affect weekly prizesBonus Points:- Perfect round: One bonus point awarded (except for bye rounds and opening round)- Eight-game rounds (like Round 2) include bonus point opportunity- Joker round: Use once per season to double your points for correct tips- Cannot be used on bye rounds or eight-game rounds- Must be used by Round 24 (admin will automatically apply if unused)Knockout Competition
- Pick one team each round you're confident will win
- Advance to next round if your team wins- Last person standing wins $50- If all remaining players are knocked out in the same round, they're all reinstatedLate Entries and Updates
Late Entries:
We welcome participants joining after the season starts:- Will receive the lowest recorded score for missed rounds- Small penalty applied to margin score- Contact admin for exact detailsUpdates and Communication:- Competition updates will be posted in the app's message section- We prefer word-of-mouth recruitment over social media to ensure committed participantsFor any questions or assistance, please contact the competition administrator.Good luck to all participants, and may the best tipper win!Note: Competition rules and prizes are subject to change at administrator's discretion.
