Group communications
GWS bus trip -- 4 June 2023
Around 15 people have already expressed interest. Need to get firmer numbers, then seek quotes for bus + driver hire:
- Alison to do Facebook post
- RFC to include in email to local members
to get number by April meeting.
Action: Alison to set up Facebook post. Tony to ask Marcus to include in RFC email to Canberra members.
After game drinks to be held at nearby hotel. Will also become clearer when numbers firmer.
Action: nil at this time, pending firmer numbers
10th anniversary function:
Following advice from Marcus that R21 or R22 would be best timing from RFC perspective, we agreed to aim for R21 (v Western Bulldogs @ Docklands, 4-7 Aug). Fixture not yet settled for R21, so we need earliest advice once available.
Action: Tony to email Marcus that we will aim for R21
Preferred venue to be Eastlake. Raylene to contact Eastlake on a range of options (meal at own cost ?, platters ?) and bring quotes to future meeting.
If a catered element in the open club space, do we need to consider wristbands, etc for participants.
Action: Raylene to contact Eastlake about venue, catering
Possible additional activities -- raffles, RFC merchandise, RFC representation.
Action: Raylene/Tony to liaise with Marcus
Would like involvement by any current or former players -- some possible names identified ☺ 'Flea' at RFC liases with former players, so could approach him via Marcus.
Action: Raylene/Tony to liaise with Marcus
Would be good to also explore involvement by AFLW player. Playing lists unsettled given off-season retirements and trades.
